I just heard that a friend found a cat that was left outside because the owners didn't want it anymore. AND they had it de-clawed and had its canine teeth removed (although, wouldn't they be feline teeth?).
Another friend took in a dog that was found tied to a telephone pole with a rope.
A neighbor just adopted a dog that had been beaten and under-fed.
Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with people?
I am not a dog person (or a cat person, but yet have a cat) but I would never ever treat a dog or cat (or other pet/animal - thingy) like this...
Could you imagine having your fingernails removed and your fangy teeth pulled out, then left in a foreign world to roam?
Or...tied to a telephone pole in the rain, thrown out the window while driving over a bridge...
