Do Glover

Dogs. They're freaking everywhere.
I have noticed more and more that people are bringing their dogs to work or allow dogs in the workplace. Why is this acceptable? I mean, I understand you like/love your dog, but fucking leave it at home!
Also, one of the reasons I love (read with serious sarcasm) dogs is because I worked at a place that chose to lock their dog in a cage in my office during lunch and it works go apeshit. Barking/whining/crying for at least an hour. It would go crazy when a client/customer would walk through. How unprofessional. How inhumane. How stupid.

Polly Pigeon and The Wind Farm

Ok, so the graphic isn't doing what I want it to. Never mind.
The point I'm trying to get across is books. I have never been a reader. Somehow, in college, there was a rumor going around that I didn't go to libraries or that I didn't know how to read. Maybe it's that I'm allergic...I don't right know. I remember reading as a child. The public library had a summer reading program where you would get awards for all the reading you did. Actually, I do believe I was scarred. I can remember reading a series (I think it was the Narnia series) and found out the author had been dead awhile and that, yes, there would be no new books. *heartbroken*
I have read some books in the interim and come across some pretty decent books, but reading just doesn't really grab me like some others...
On the other hand, my wife can sit for hours reading the same book. WTF is up with that? How can something be so mesmerizing that someone can just sit for hours and ignore everything around you as you stare at some words on a page? And it's not even that book about grey stuff!!
...and here I am complaining about reading and yet I hope that you'll read my blog. I guess I'm a little one-sided.

Firestarter

Wisteria Lane, you can kiss my ass.
That said, let me start by saying, last September, a known neighborhood drunk passed out in her house and her house exploded. It is hard to know what really happened...but it not only took out her house, but most of the house next door and damaged the one on the other side as well. It is rumored that she was smoking and her house went up from that...or she was cooking something and passed out and BOOM. Needless to say, while she did survive initially, she didn't make it.
Now you might think that, wow, that's a pretty insane thing to happen to a small neighborhood. Well, that was just the tip of the iceberg. Maybe the fire opened up a hell-mouth, because I am just getting started!
Since that time, an individual disappeared. A neighbor just went missing. No one knew where they went, but word on the street was that they were at a restaurant convention. Well, after a couple of weeks, and no sign of said individual, our own investigators found out this person was shacking up in jail! I cannot go into details here, but was very shocked with that outcome!
Another individual in our neighborhood went off to college (before the fire) and started hooking. However, what makes it neighborhood worthy news, is that she came home for Easter break and ran an ad in the paper for an Easter special-oh the horrors! Needless to say, BUSTED!
There are two men, mid-twenties, of the twin persuasion, who walk around the neighborhood. They live about 6 houses away and just walk, which is crazy because who walks these days? One will walk more frequently than the other and seriously has issues. Issues that came to an ugly head during the summer. A neighbor boy was skateboarding on the street and left his phone on the lawn. Crazy twin (or crazier of the two) went for a cellular stroll through this kid's contacts. Grabbed a few of the teenage girls' numbers stored in the phone and had a sexting session with them. And, hello - BUSTED!
There is more, but right now I've said enough...maybe next season.
